Lake Taneycomo wanders through the Ozarks hills.

Lake Taneycomo was formed out of the White River bed when a series of dams were constructed in the early 1950’s. Water from the bottom of Table Rock Dam feeds Taneycomo producing hydroelectric power. The cold moving water is ideal for trout fishing. The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers maintains a fish hatchery used to stock Taneycomo year round. Lake Taneycomo has become well known for its beauty and its trout fishing. |
