10 gates open at Table Rock Dam

Table Rock Dam with all 10 flood gates opened at a record lake level, 46,500 cubic feet per second!

This is a rare and spectacular site to see.

These pictures of Table Rock Dam were taken from the Table Rock fish hatchery and the Dam overview at the Corp of Engineers Dam Lookout.  Lake level was 932.7 at the time.  Table Rock crested at 933.25.

Water released from the flood gates drops 200 + feet to Lake Taneycomo.

Special thanks to Bob Gard, photographer, author of  “ Hiking Branson” and friend  who contributed photos for this site!  Bob does have commercial prints of his work available for sale.

The opening of the flood gates turned out to be quite an amazing tourist attraction.  The Corp of Engineers took on new duties for traffic control to welcome the guest.
